Old Friends and New - June 23, 8 pm
Our traditional opening concert will feature songs and arias from all 32 of our 2012 Young Artists. Audience members are also invited to a post show reception with the young artists. Get your tickets early; this concert is always a sellout!

by Cole Porter - July 5, 7, 8 - 8 pm; July 6 - 2 pm & 8 pm
Our 97th Anniversary season will begin with Cole Porter's most celebrated musical. This "play within a play" is sure to have its audiences humming tunes and swaying in their seats.  CAST LIST


by Mark Adamo - July 18, 19, 21 - 8 pm; July 20 - 2 pm
Based on the famous Louisa May Alcott novel, this beautiful opera written in 1998 is one of the most regularly performed modern operas in the repertoire. This is surely due to its sentimental treatment of the subject matter and beautifully lyrical music. CAST LIST
Sung in English with projected English supertitles. 


by W.A. Mozart - August 1, 2, 4 - 8 pm; August 3 - 2 pm
The legendary tale of Don Juan is set masterfully to music in this Mozart masterpiece. After all of Don Giovanni's escapades, come and see what he gets in the end. CAST LIST

by Stephen Sondheim - August 15, 16, 18 - 8 pm; August 17 - 2 pm
Sondheim's dark classic is the perfect blend of opera and musical with plenty of word play and catchy tunes. "The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" will put an exclamation point on the 2012 season.  CAST LIST

Children's Opera - July 14, 10:00 & 11:30 am - Boathouse Theatre
This charming 45-minute operatic retelling of the classic Grimm fairy tale was written by American composer Seymour Barab. While specifically geared for elementary age children, this opera is sure to please the young at heart of all ages.  CAST LIST

Vespers Concerts - July 29 & August 12, 19, 5 pm
Our concerts of sacred choral music and vocal solos have been a Schroon Lake tradition for most of our 96 year history. All Vespers concerts are open to the public and seating is first-come, first-serve, so arrive early to find your preferred seat.

Patrice Munsel Gala - July 14
The Patrice Munsel Gala is Seagle Music Colony's largest annual fund-raising event. Its goal is to raise substantial funds to support the young artist program of Seagle Music Colony. The Gala is a full evening including an elegant dinner, drinks, dessert and dancing, as well as entertainment by the Seagle Music Colony Young Artists. Each year's Gala honors one outstanding Seagle Music Colony Alumnus/a as well as at least one of our valued long-time supporters.
