Seagle Music Colony is the oldest summer vocal training program in the United States and the premier opera and musical theatre producing organization in the Adirondack region of upstate New York. We recently completed our 98th anniversary season and are looking forward to an outstanding 2014.
Our 2014 99th anniversary mainstage season has now come to a close. But, our post-season young artists are still in residence here in Schroon Lake through the month of September. Their primary performances will take place in regional schools. If you are interested in bringing Hansel and Gretel to your child's or granchild's school, please contact us at 518-532-7875 or email@example.com.
The post-season artists will also present a wonderful revue entitled Stage to Screen: Classic Movie Musicals
at the Oscar Seagle Memorial Theater in Schroon Lake on Friday, September 5 at 8PM
and at the Wood Theater in Glens Falls on Saturday, September 13 at 7:30PM
. To purchase tickets for the Schroon Lake performance, please call us at 518-532-7875. For tickets to the show at the Wood Theater, please call 518-874-0800 or visit woodtheater.org
Seagle Music Colony wins two regional awards
1) We were selected as the "Best Music Venue" in the Adirondacks by the readers of Adirondack Life
magazine. You can read about the contest, see a photo from our 2013 season, and browse through the winners of the other categories in the June issue.
2) Our 2013 Summer Season of Performances was awarded the "Best Cultural Event" in the Adirondacks, as part of a Best Event Contest sponsored by the Adirondack Local Government Conference Committee. The award was presented to General Director Tony Kostecki as part of the annual conference held in Lake Placid on April 10 and 11, 2014.
Both of these awards are a testament to the many supporters of Seagle Music Colony. A big thank you goes to all of them!
