SMC Receives NEA Grant Funding for Post-Season Project
Seagle Music Colony is happy to announce that we have been recommended for funding from the National Endowment for the Art's ART WORKS program. The recommended grant funding will be used to support SMC's new post-season in-school opera program (see below) as well as support of regular summer program scholarship funding for the artists involved in the program. The ART WORKS grant competition is highly competitive, and we are exceptionally thankful and excited to have been recommended for this funding. NEW FOR 2012 - POST SEASON IN-SCHOOL OPERA PROGRAM
SMC is excited to announce the creation of a new post season in-school opera program. This program will take a production of Little Red Riding Hood directly to schools in the region during the month of September and early October. Three SMC young artists will remain in residence here in Schroon Lake and travel to schools in Essex, Clinton, Warren and Hamilton counties.
