Seagle Music Colony 2020 Season Cancelled
At this time, with the health and safety of all those involved in Seagle Music Colony activities: artists, staff, patrons and audience members, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Seagle Music Colony summer season due to the coronavirus pandemic. We agonized over this decision, but made it due to guidance from state and local officials, combined with the nature of our artists’ and staff members’ communal living at Seagle, and the high-risk demographic of a significant portion of our audience. While it’s almost unimaginable, we sadly realize that this is the right decision in light of the unprecedented public health crisis into which we’ve all been plunged.
One of the most difficult repercussions of our decision is the fact that much of our seasonal faculty and staff rely on the income they would have received during this summer for their livelihood. To help alleviate some of their hardship, we have committed to providing them all with some financial assistance during this summer. We’re also committed to coming out of this crisis time in a strong position to move forward. In order to do this, we will rely on continued financial support from our friends like you. If you are in a position to do so, we ask you to consider a donation to Seagle Music Colony today. To make a gift you can CLICK HERE, on the link at the top of the page, mail us, or give us a call.
Please know that we appreciate your support of Seagle and look forward to being able to share our good work with you again soon. While we are heartbroken we will not see you on the hill this summer, we know that once this crisis is over, the power that music and art have to help us heal will be critical to our collective recovery, and when that time comes, Seagle will be here.
Please be safe and healthy until we see each other again.
